Ever wondered how to make your garden more insect friendly?

An insect friendly garden is a great way to make your garden and home more sustainable and environmentally resilient. All insects play a role in the natural ecosystem, and nature would usually provide ample homes for them. Many “manicured” gardens don’t provide these homes but this can be compensated for… How about trying your hand at a DIY Bug hotel.

All materials and instructions provided. Suitable for tamariki 5+.

Cost: Free

How to register: Contact Birkenhead Library on Facebook or email. Or register in person at the Birkenhead Library front desk.

This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival taking place Friday 15 March – Sunday 14 April 2024.
