Theres no place like a small NZ town

Childhood sweethearts Kaia and Pascoe don’t have much in common, growing up in the small town of Ti Kapa with only the fish factory for a job. When life doesn’t bring them all they had hoped for, Kaia flies the coup to try make it big in New York, Pascoe starts a fishing boat business. Like two ships in the night they go their own ways.

Kaia soon realises New York isn’t all its made out to be and the pull home is strong. When she returns she releases what she wanted all along, but is it too late? Nothing stays the same when time passes.

He Reo Aroha is filled with original waiata (song) and a beautiful story about a small, New Zealand town and the various characters who make it home.

written by award winning playwright Jamie McCaskill and Miria George this play has been performed all over the world to outstanding reviews.
