Join us in this event to raise funds to get the doors of The Treasury open again and continue to preserve the wonderful treasures housed in the archives! The public funding crisis has hit us hard, but we take our role as guardians of the local history very seriously. We need your help to pull through and open the doors again.

Baroness Charlotte de Rothschild has very kindly agreed to speak at a high tea on the afternoon of Saturday 9th March, 2024. Following a delectable selection of high tea treats, generously donated by the local eateries and catering businesses, the Baroness will present fascinating glimpses into her family’s extraordinary history. From giraffes to wine to rhododendrons to lifestyle, this illustrated talk will touch on many subjects.

Plan to arrive a little early and take part in a guided tour of The Treasury on Queen Street, Thames, housed in the charming Carnegie Free Library, and the purpose built archive right next door. Bookings are essential and can be made by emailing us at charlottefundraiser24@gmail.com. We can also recommend some of the lovely eateries in Thames who have donated some of the yummy treats for the high tea - they really deserve our support too!

Then, prepare to be seated at the Thames War Memorial Civic Centre by 1:45 pm on Saturday 9th March for what we think will be a really lovely afternoon in support of a fantastic cause - our history.
