Nowruz Celebration

Join us for a free, fun, family Nowruz celebration supported by Auckland Council, with exciting cultural performances and ethnic food stalls.

Nowruz, meaning “new day”, is an ancestral festivity marking the first day of the year and the renewal of nature. Celebrated for over 3000 years as the most important day in calendar in the Balkans, the Black Sea Basin, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East and other regions, it promotes values of peace and solidarity between generations and communities.
We have an exciting programme, including cultural performances, children's activities, ethnic food, pastries and goodies.
