subsume is a contemporary art exhibition exploring the legacy of deforestation as a consequence of colonialisation through a collaborative sound work, a set of digital prints, a series of original frottage tree drawings and a series of mixed media drawing-paintings.
Exhibition Date: Tuesday 27 February – Saturday 23 March 2024 (Open: Tuesdays to Sundays 11:00 – 14:00)

This exhibition is also linked to a collaborative EcoFest event with Kaipātiki Project: Make Your Mark Nature Event. Laura Donkers will be hosting a frottage (the technique of taking a rubbing from an uneven surface to form the basis of a work of art) drawing workshop at Northcote Greenway. Registration is required to attend the Make Your Mark Nature event, register here.
