It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us at the Whiria Ngā Kaha Workplace Inclusion Aotearoa 2024 conference to be held in Wellington in February 2024.
In keeping with our conference whakataukī, Whiria te kaha tūātinitini, Whiria te kaha tūāmanomano, and building on the popular themes from our successful 2023 conference, we will again bring together an extensive line-up of speakers and panellists, featuring a mix of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practitioners, allies, champions and leaders.
With the support of an awesome Programme Committee representing our members, the topics selected for this upcoming conference are thought provoking, relevant and practical – including conversations related to allyship, authentic engagement, employee experience, future of work, dealing with DEI fatigue, and integrating te ao Māori in our workplaces.
We also know that DEI work is personally and emotionally taxing, which is why it is so important for our DEI whānau to come together to connect and support each other. And, in this context, our theme for this conference is “Collectively We Can”, which serves as motivation to each of those who go to work every day to build better, more equitable, more respectful, and more inclusive workplaces. Whiria Ngā Kaha 2024 is the place to recharge, reset and renew in the knowledge that none of us are doing this work on our own.
The conference will take place at Shed 6 in Wellington from Wednesday 28 February 2024 to Friday 1 March 2024. A social event will be hosted on Wednesday evening, with the Conference dinner on Thursday evening. We are expecting a gathering of approximately 300 leaders and people professionals who can’t wait to exchange ideas, share action steps, and build their support networks. And we want to see you there!
