Auckland will make a very special welcome to The Cure this July after nine years since their last New Zealand appearance, for one special show.
Renowned for their sublime two-hour-plus performances, The Cure will play one night only at Vector Arena on Thursday, July 21, marking the band’s first NZ date since August 2007.
The Cure are set to embark on an extensive run of US dates and their first major European tour since 2008.
During the past eight years the band has performed a number of high profile London shows and headlined most of the major European festivals including: Roskilde, Werchter, Reading & Leeds, Pinkpop, Hurricane & Southside, Paleo, Vieilles Charrues, BBK, Belfort, Optimus Alive!, Primavera, Frequency, Electric Picnic and The Cure Tour 2016 will present Robert Smith (voice/guitar), Simon Gallup (bass), Jason Cooper (drums), Roger O'Donnell (keys) and Reeves Gabrels (guitar) as they explore 37 years of Cure songs, mixing hits, rarities, favourites and as yet unreleased tracks in a brand new stage production that promises to be one of the 'must see' shows of the year!
