Eventfinda and Cystic Fibrosis NZ teamed up to do a donation takeover of all events selling tickets with Eventfinda during the month of May. This meant that all ticket purchasers were offered the opportunity to donate, and the results were beyond all expectations.

Eventfinda wanted to get involved to support the charity during their annual fundraising drive in May for CF Awareness Month. CFNZ receives less than 4% government funding and relies on the generosity of everyday New Zealanders to meet the ongoing needs of their community.
Eventfinda offers all event organisers the chance to choose a charity to add to their event that is presented to ticket buyers during the purchase process but this campaign called for more. So for the month of May, everyone buying tickets with Eventfinda were offered the opportunity to donate to CFNZ and the charity saw fantastic results.
Lisa Burns, CEO of CFNZ said,
“We can’t thank the Eventfinda team enough for their involvement with our CF Awareness Month, Cruel Needs Kind campaign. Their Deliberate Act of Kindness in offering Cystic Fibrosis NZ the opportunity to be their donation partner for May really made an impact for our campaign, and ultimately, for our CF community.”
Their goals for the partnership were to increase awareness of CF as well as gain donations.
CFNZ Marketing Manager Nikki Purvis Schischka said after only the first week that the donations were,
“…beyond what we expected and we are so grateful!”
It’s a great opportunity for both the organisers to support a cause they believe in but also for the charities themselves to reach people that wouldn’t usually be aware of what they do and the impact they have. Burns commented that,
“Being exposed to a new audience was hugely beneficial for CFNZ.”
