Western Springs Speedway

Eventfinda is helping bring the roar of the Speedway to life, by providing integrated marketing, ticketing and event management services to the Western Springs-based spectacle.

Speedway features 12 meetings a year, attracting more than 60,000 punters. While the business has worked with other ticketing providers in the past, Eventfinda is the first to have enabled them to sell tickets online.

“Our sales really depend a lot on the weather, with a lot of fans waiting until the day to make a call on attending,” says Speedway event coordinator Melissa Webb. ”Eventfinda’s platform enable us to sell tickets online right up until the meet starts.”

In addition to online sales, the Eventfinda team provides the infrastructure to manage gate sales and entry on the day of meets using Eventfinda’s own ticket-scanning technology. “The scanners work really well because it gets people into the venue quickly and efficiently. It’s really reliable too,” says Webb.

Eventfinda also plays a role in generating awareness of Speedway meetings, through a comprehensive marketing campaign including eDM’s, feature tiles and website takeovers, which link directly to the ticket sales platform.

The reporting system also provides insights to enable Speedway to adapt their marketing campaign throughout the season. “The reporting is fantastic, a hundred times better than what we’ve had in previous seasons,” says Webb.

“We really enjoy working with the Eventfinda team. They are always available and responsive to our requests - regardless of how complicated, they manage to figure it out fast!”
