Bach Musica NZ 2015 Season

Bach Musica NZ is New Zealand’s only combined orchestral and choral ensemble, whose 40-voice choir and professional orchestra are dedicated to performing a wide range of music from Baroque to 21st Century. Bach Musica NZ’s motto is "music that touches the soul" and it is well-known for presenting many NZ premieres.

2015 highlights include the Brahms Requiem, Rachmaninov’s Liturgy of St John, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 5 Emperor, a NZ premiere of Steffani’s Stabat Mater and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio.

In addition to its Concert Series, Bach Musica NZ also offers an education programme with highly popular Singing and Conducting Workshops open to all ages and levels.

German-born Music and Artistic Director Rita Paczian is a freelance conductor performing in New Zealand and abroad. Her career has taken her to most European countries, Australia, South Africa, California and New Zealand, where she has made her home. Rita is also the Musical and Artistic Director of the NZ Pops Orchestra and Hausmusik NZ.
