Alpha Gallery is located in the Alpha Art Studio in Abel Smith Street, Wellington. It provides a facility for the artists working in the studio to display and sell their works. Artists not working in the studio can hire the gallery space to display their own exhibitions or submit work to curated exhibitions that are run from time to time.
Alpha Art Studio is a part of Idea Services which provides support for people with intellectual disabilities who wish to develop their artistic skills and be practicing artists.
The money raised from sale of work in the gallery is split between the artist and the gallery and used to extend and develop Alpha Art Studio.
