Sandy commonly known as the Naked Scotsman after his gourmet sauces brand. He is also live on Radio Central on Thursday mornings, you’ve probably heard the jingle. His strong Scottish background is seen through the Hotels décor and 56 strong whiskey collection in the bar.

Sam the brains behind everything design & interior, those who have been to the hotel will know what we mean.. this country pub has been given a modern, quirky touch and most locals say each time they visit there is something new to look at.

Alex is our mixologist whose cocktails are reputable all over New Zealand, Europe and the UK. Alex uses his experience and your choice of flavours to make the cocktails to your desire. This is Alex’s second summer working at Blacks, he has done impeccable work to make drastic changes in the bar. He has hand picked our wine list, stocked a large range of New Zealand crafts beers and introduced a large range of non-alcoholic drinks.

Jaz is our Events Coordinator and accounts manager, get in touch with her to discuss your next big event at Blacks. We have organised several functions at Blacks that have all been very successful. Including Emerson’s nights, banquet dinners, themed nights, hen do’s, work do’s and birthdays. In the pipeline we are looking at organising and running children’s birthdays and events.
