Efil Doog Garden of Art

Efil Doog is an eleven acre sculpture park and gallery situated in the beautiful Akatarawa Valley, near Wellington. The sculpture collection is an outstanding and unique outdoor exhibition devoted to contemporary New Zealand sculpture.

The large garden includes many interesting and rare trees, shrubs and perennials tastefully displayed in surroundings which include a river, ponds, and bush-clad hills. The garden includes one of New Zealand's largest collections of species and hybrid rhododendrons.

Efil Doog has been independently assessed as a "Garden of Regional Significance" by the New Zealand Garden Trust which aims to foster and promote only the best New Zealand Gardens and Horticulture. The trust is part of The Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture (Inc). (RNZIH)
