Aerial Yoga (Anti Gravity Yoga/AGY)is a new type of yoga, originating in New York but now being practiced in several countries. It involves performing a series of exercises inspired by yoga, Pilates, dance and aerial acrobatics in a hammock-like apparatus, in order to achieve a total-body workout. As the body hangs freely, the whole body can be stretched, strengthened and rehabilitated, and the spine decompressed.
