First established in August 31st 1994, Istana Malaysia has long been recognised by its clientele as the best Malaysian restaurant in town. At Istana your meals are cooked to order, and all spices are directly imported from Malaysia, guaranteeing only the finest of Malaysian cuisine. Each meal offers the diners a choice of mild, medium or hot.

Danny Rajen, owner and chef, with over 25 years' of experience, has represented Malaysia at an International Food Fair. He was also a former chef for Hotel Equitorial in Malaysia for over twelve years, and Wellington's Parkroyal (now Intercontinental Hotel) for four and a half years, and has gained much recognition in his cooking career.
