Waimarama Community Gardens

Waimarama Community Gardens were established by volunteers and many hours have been donated over the years to create this lovely space. Volunteers are responsible for the governorship and day-to-day running of the Gardens, either as Trustees or as gardeners. We invite you to wander around the Gardens to discover what is being done.
Explanation sheets are placed around the Gardens with details of the plantings.
The circular Mandala area has annual variation of sowings to explore more unusual varieties
Organic seedlings and produce may be for sale in the kiosk to raise funds
Community gardening is a leisure activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Your involvement is very welcome. Waimarama Community Gardens are a great place for locals and visitors to meet and socialise and share their knowledge.
