A free six-week mindfulness course with Jo Wall from ACT Counselling.
Mindfulness involves paying full attention to the present moment, with an open, non-judgmental and compassionate attitude. When we are mindful, we are far more likely to cope with difficult emotions, sensations, and situations, enhance performance in our chosen skill or sport, and increase enjoyment of pleasant events. It is a simple concept, but challenging to apply in everyday life.
Mindfulness has been found to be beneficial in reducing stress, anxiety and depression, improving relationships, managing pain, and increasing well-being and immune response. It is best learned by participating and experiencing it first-hand.
This six-week programme has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of those experiencing cancer including those undergoing treatment, survivors and carers.
Registration is essential.
