Acclaimed US producer-songwriter-performer MAGGIE ROGERS has announced her first ever New Zealand show on her Heard It in a Past Life world tour, playing Auckland’s The Powerstation on Saturday 1 June.

Presenting thoughtful indie-pop, Rogers’ music endeavours to bring the human back into popular music. Using organic percussion and ethereal timbres alongside lyrics of activism and heartache, Rogers’ approach is truly unique - translating to a glistening live show.

“Rogers’s performance is inspiring and moving.” – Medium

“Her voice is arresting. Her eye-catching dance moves, featuring a flurry of swinging limbs and periods of spinning across the stage” – The Independent

“A confident performance from the young artist with a fervent online following proves that famous fan Pharrell Williams was right to heap praise on her” – The Guardian

Rising to fame after being discovered by Pharell Williams in a NYU masterclass, Rogers’ debut EP ‘NOW THAT THE LIGHT IS FADING’ was released to immense critical acclaim. With the success of viral tracks such as ‘Alaska’ which has accrued 100 million+ global combined streams to date, plus ‘On + Off’, ‘Give a Little’ and more, the release of debut album ‘HEARD IT IN A PAST LIFE’ on January 18, 2019 is hotly anticipated.

Delivering a stunning rendition of album single ‘Fallingwater’ on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, Maggie Rogers showed audiences exactly why she’s one of the hottest up-and-coming artists in the world, Rolling Stone calling the performance “flawless”. Rogers’ has also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Late Show with James Corden, featured sets at the world’s premiere music festivals including Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Reading + Leeds, and toured internationally to great success.

The BBC 1, Tidal, Google Play, Vevo, Pandora, and numerous tastemakers – including Rolling Stone, NYLON, SPIN, Billboard and more – have tipped her as an artist to watch. NPR named her one of its Favourite Musicians and The New Yorker declares, “Maggie Rogers is an artist of her time.”

Maggie Rogers will show her New Zealand audience the reason why she has earned such acclaim, presenting a live show of cheer and tangible pop. Catch the magnetic artist in this intimate show while you can – she’ll be filling out stadiums soon.
