Kia Ora and Haere Mai!

Celebrate Matariki by delving into the skills and creativity of Maori culture at the Sandringham Community Centre. The team there will be led by Audrey Rapihana, a gifted local who will demonstrate how to cook some delicious kai and give you lessons on how to weave harakeke stars and headbands. They will also be sharing the story of Matariki as a time of renewal, rejuvenation and the start of the Māori New Year.
