Give your body and mind a treat, and indulge in a nourishing sequence of restorative yoga poses, guided meditations and breathing exercises. To accompany and further deepen your practice, a Sound Bath will be facilitated. Sound has a powerful effect on our bodies, it can be cleansing, calming and/or uplifting and energising.
We use plenty of props to support us as we gently stretch and release tension from the muscles and joints. To finish there will be a guided relaxation (Savasana) so you can float all the way home.
Restorative yoga is used to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for balancing and re-energising the whole body. By stimulating this system, you experience a lower heart rate, lower stress levels, and lower blood pressure. Typically we hold restorative poses from anywhere between 10-20 minutes to allow the body and mind to absorb the myriad of benefits.
Emma is the founder of Flourish Yoga, and has been practising, learning & teaching yoga for over 15 years.
All are welcome to attend this workshop. Please wear comfortable loose clothing (bring layers so you stay warm and cosy!)
