Studio One Toi Tū is temporarily closed from Tuesday 24 March in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19. All events, exhibitions and courses are cancelled until further notice.
In line with the government’s announcement today, Auckland Council has temporarily closed all arts, community and event venues from 5pm, Monday 23 March. This applies to all community centres, arts facilities, community galleries, theatres and venues for hire (unless required to support the government’s response to COVID-19). Mokuhanga (traditional Japanese woodblock printing) is the origin of manga. Based on your own characters, you will learn to carve and print a one coloured block with traditional tools on Japanese plywood.This is a challenging class that requires some patience but gives you the tools to extend your drawing skills into printmaking.
Age 14+.
Class 10 max.
