Boulton Quintet

A quintet that embodies the intensity and fire of a bebop group, all the while conveying the steady beat of the soul jazz outfits we’ve grown to love. Joining Honey on the bandstand is stalwart rhythm section Christopher Yeabsley (organ) and Cory Champion (drums) (with whom he recorded his debut album ‘Portrait’) plus a stirring horn section. The band will perform an array of freshly arranged material, a selection of Honey’s compositions inspired by the likes of Charlie Parker, Tadd Dameron, Lennie Tristano etc. with a smattering of Calypso and Boogaloo favourites.
