Eco Dyeing on Paper Workshop

Eco Dyeing (also called leaf print or eco print) is a direct contact dye method drawing out pigments from leaves into fabric or paper. In this full-day workshop, we will focus on how to successfully eco-dyeing onto a selection of different papers. We will go for a short walk around the studio to collect some plant material, which we will then use to create our eco bundles. Let’s get wild!

You will learn about:

- Suitable plants and papers
- equipment
- preparation of paper for dyeing (mordanting)
- how to finish your papers to protect them

Included in the workshop fee are a variety of different papers to play and experiment with and a handout with more information.

Tools and materials for the workshop are provided; a ‘what to bring list’ will be sent out closer to the workshop.
