Members of the Print Council of Aotearoa New Zealand (PCANZ) from throughout New Zealand, from Waitaha in the South Island to Kerikeri in the North, have contributed works in this exciting exchange of art with Impress Printmakers at Wooloowin in Brisbane Australia. During this exhibition prints from more than 35 printmakers from the Print Council will be exhibited with prints from over 35 printmakers from the Impress Studios in Brisbane at both the Impress Gallery and at Creative Arts, Napier, simultaneously from 26th August to the 8th September 2022. Join us for the opening night celebration on 26th August 5:00-7:00pm.

PRINT COUNCIL OF AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND (PCANZ)

The Print Council of Aotearoa New Zealand is a member-run, national, non profit organisation that promotes contemporary fine art printmaking. Through workshops, exhibitions, collaborations and exchanges between members and national and international associations, we foster a greater appreciation of printmaking among our members and the wider community.

Print Council members have enthusiastically embraced the concept behind the Borderless print exchange.

We also highly value our relationship with our Trans Tasman neighbours and are excited to share this collaboration as we celebrate the reopening of the borders between our two countries.

IMPRESS PRINTMAKERS
Impress Printmakers Studio and Gallery at Wooloowin in Brisbane was opened in 2014. It is a facility for members and the wider community, an affordable open access printmaking studio with equipment available for many diverse forms of printmaking, workshop classes and exhibition opportunities in a friendly, safe and professional environment. Its primary aim is to facilitate the professional development of fine art printmakers.

Impress aims to promote and raise the awareness of printmaking as a fine art form. At Impress, artists of all levels and the public are welcome to come together and collaborate, share knowledge, skills and stories.

IMPRESS MEMBERS are excited to be part of the Borderless print exchange. Exchanging not just art but our views of the world. Having the same exhibition on show simultaneously in two countries is such a special event. We already have strong ties and strong love for our neighbouring country and we look forward to being able to strengthen that through our art. Impress thanks PCANZ for this great opportunity.
