Gisborne Canoe and Tramping Club - Riverside – Manders Road

We will cross Waimata River on the most upstream bridge on Riverside Road and walk through Ngahereroa Station and Waimata Station to Mander Road. We can cross the Waimata River again on the Mander Road bridge then walk through Waimanu pine forest back to the end of Riverside Road, past Motukeo Station. We climb to about 210m through the pine forest (from river level at 60m) and there is a good view from one spur. About 12km walking.
