STEPS (St Lukes Environmental Protection Society) is following Waitītiko Meola Creek from Owairaka Mt Albert to Te Tokaroa Meola Reef over two successive weekends. We will follow the path of Waitītiko as closely as we can as we make our way to the sea.

This is the second day, from Norgrove Ave, Mt Albert, to Te Tokaroa Meola Reef.
Meet at the end of Norgrove Ave, Mt Albert. The walk is 3.5 km long and will take approximately 2.5 hours.

We will get as close to Waitītiko as we can, have a look at conservation efforts made by community groups, schools and other organisations, see lava flow rock forest, and finally reach salt water marsh.

There will be a car to shuttle you back to the beginning of the walk if required (mask mandatory).
This is a free event but there is a limit of 25 attendees.

In case of bad weather, cancellation on the day will be advised on the STEPS website www.meolacreek.org.nz and our facebook page @STEPSNZ

You can also join us on the first weekend to walk from Owairaka Mt Albert to Norgrove Ave.

This event is part of Conservation Week 2022.
