This Recital Competition for singers aged 17-28 years is Auckland Clef Music Club’s tribute to the memory of former President, Patron, generous friend and mentor, RONALD DELLOW.
This year, five talented young contestants will perform in this Final Recital Concert to be judged by music professionals, KATE SPENCE (mezzo) and CHALIUM POPPY (bass baritone & choral conductor).
A Prize of $1,500 plus the Memorial Trophy will go to the Winner, while the Runner-up receives $400.
A further non-monetary "Audience Choice" prize goes to the singer voted most popular by the audience on Concert night.
The Adjudicators will be assessing the singers for their ability to present a rounded recital performance and so factors such as selection of repertoire and the ability to engage with the audience and communicate through the music will be judged, together with technical vocal skill and accuracy.

This will be a wonderful recital evening of arias, lieder, art song and lighter music with the added excitement of a closely fought competition and your opportunity to hear some of the best of our emerging singing talent.

The Competition itself will be followed by a short Guest Performance by 2021 Winner, TAYLA ALEXANDER.
The Concert concludes with a generous supper - all included in the ticket price - followed by comments from the Adjudicators and the Award of the Prizes to the successful contestants.
