Screen printing 7-week course with Talia Russell

You will learn about the screen print process, including how to create a stencil, coat emulsion on a screen, expose a screen, and the methods of printing onto paper. Create your own designs to print on to paper that you can then frame for your wall!

Week 1: About screen printing. Types of printing / brief History - Create a paper stencil, and print it. If there’s time, preparing screens with emulsion.

Week.2 – Continue with paper stencils while Preparing screen with emulsion, create a stencil and get ready to expose onto a screen

Week3 – Expose screen and Print the screen and create new stencils

Week4 – Continue to expose and print screens.

Week 5 – Talk through 2 colour printing process – 2 stencils to create and print – Print light to dark the use of overlapping to create 3 colour or use as highlights

Week 6,7 – continue to expose and print screens
