The Christchurch Youth Orchestra goes from strength to strength under the baton of Dr Helen Renaud, and this programme reveals just how impressive and able these young performers are. Two beautiful works from Aotearoa are presented alongside three highly distinctive and powerful works from Ireland, Hong Kong and Chile. This concert puts the CYO in the international spotlight, with visitors and viewers from the International Society for Contemporary Music, a 100-year-old network of organizations with its roots in Salzburg that is coming to Aotearoa for the first time.
