Waihi Beach Easter Beach Volleyball

Waihi Beach Community Events & Promotions are excited to bring beach volleyball to Waihi Beach over Easter!

With support from Volleyball Bay of Plenty, courts will be set-up at the north end of Waihi Beach on Sat 16 & Sun 17 April and available for use from 11am – 4pm. Balls will be provided and the courts will be managed by a coordinator who can assist with rules and managing the court bookings.

Families and groups of friends can book a court for FREE! So get your crew together and plan a fun volleyball session. It is recommended you have at least 8 people in total to play (4 per side). Afterwards, head to The Deck at the Surf Club for a beverage with all profits going to the Surf Club.

In order to give all those volleyball enthusiasts a go – we ask that you BOOK your court in advance. Details below:

Choose a time: 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, or 3pm
You will be allocated a court (there will be 3 in total) and have access to the court for 45 mins.
One ball will be provided and a coordinator will be on hand to help with any tips or instructions.

On the day bookings – courts not pre-booked will be available to book on the day. Head to the beach and chat to our volleyball coordinator.

This event is weather dependent. If the weather forecast is inclement the event will be postponed or cancelled. All people who booked will be emailed or texted this update.
