Music from The Jasmine, a charismatic piano vocal duo. Zoe Cui, soprano, and Jessica Yu. Zoe Cui is a soprano, currently studying for her Masters Degree in Classical Vocal Performance in the University of Auckland. She has more than ten years of vocal performance experience. In 2020, Zoe won the first place in Duet and the second place in Traditional and Folk Singing in the North Shore Performing Arts Festival in Auckland. She has also been performing in various concerts, music events and nationwide cultural galas in New Zealand and China over the years.
Jessica is an experienced Collaborative Pianist and Music Educator. She is an ABRSM-listed piano accompanist and a Master of Music student researching inclusive music-making and music therapy. She is skilled in classical music, music arrangement, composition and music theory. Over the years, Jessica collaborated with many vocalists, choirs and instrumentalists and held her solo piano recital at the Pah Homestead in 2022.
This will be followed by a discussion with Barbara Glaser who is about to retire as CEO of the APO.
The morning ends with a light lunch.
