Hākari Matariki - Celebrate Matariki Hastings

Dress up warm to re-energise the soul and warm the senses in the chill of winter on this public holiday to celebrate Matariki. The event will come alive with a feast for the senses. There's delicious kai galore from Maori hangi, rewena bread and toroi mussells to kebabs, curry, dim sums and hot dogs. There's joyous family entertainment too by HB Soul Choir, Kahurangi Dance Theatre, kapa haka, Pacific Dance, remembrance ceremony and pahū ahi - fireworks finale.
