Late Nite Friday: The Raven Maven Duo

These two fun-loving, versatile performers will delight you with their playing and singing, performing original songs and covers and mixing up ballads, boogie woogies and old-time blues, all delivered in the Mavens' own inimitable style.

The Raven Mavens duo features singer songwriter Cindy Muggeridge, queen of the boogie and blues on piano and songstress Marian Carter on soulful saxophone and clarinet. These two fun-loving, versatile performers will delight you with their playing and singing and sweet harmonies which they have been delivering to audiences up and down the country since 2011. While both women play in multiple other line-ups, including the Raven Mavens Quartette, whenever the chance presents, they love to perform together in the original duo where it all started.

The Whirinaki gig will give the duo a chance to add some of their more intimate and thoughtful tunes to the usual mix of ballads, boogie woogies and old-time blues. Expect a variety of original songs and covers, all delivered in the Mavens' own inimitable style.
