Paekākāriki School Plant Sale & Rainbow Gala

Gather your gardening gloves! Saddle up the wheelbarrows and sling on your secateurs! The iconic Paekākāriki School Plant Sale and Rainbow Gala is back and better than ever this Labour weekend!

Proudly partnered with the Paekākāriki Pride Festival, the Gala is a chance to get ‘rainbowed up’ in preparation for the Pride Parade held in the village.

There will be bucket loads of plants for sale, lovingly nurtured by the Potty Potters, in their bursting nursery housed onsite at the school. Proceeds from the plant sale go towards Teacher aid support running an incredibly successful student Rongoā/gardening programme for the students.

And while you’re stocking up your vege patch and back yard, the rest of the family can enjoy rainbow stalls, lots of yummy food and entertainment from talented locals, an op shop run by the students. There are oodles of games and activities, including the hugely successful obstacle course and the classic bouncy castles. There will be a tea room to take a load off after enjoying all of the entertainment. Proceeds from the gala will go towards a much needed Senior playground at the school.
