“I just want to sing its praises to the f*cking rooftops” - Art Murmurs

“Stockwell is both vulnerable and charismatic…This is vital work…it’s a great show” – Flat City Notes

The high-octane one-woman rock ‘n’ roll theatre-gig We’ve Got So Much To Talk About, exploring the challenges and complexities of motherhood through a mashup of sound, song, movement, and rebellion returns to Auckland for the final stop in its tour.

With a loop pedal and surprising household objects, Sally fuses earthy electronic soundscapes, edgy striped-back melodies, and rich vocal harmonies into a powerful and emotive musical experience.

Voyaging into themes around isolation, freedom, feminism and the struggle between artistry and motherhood, We’ve Got So Much To Talk About premiered at Auckland’s Basement Theatre in 2022 before also heading to Otautahi Tiny Festival and Wellington’s TAHI Festival in 2023. Stockwell is supported by director Julia Harvie (Hive, Hummingbird, Killjoy) and multi-instrumentalist Chris Marshall (Miss June, Pocket Money), and dramaturge Emma Willis (Meremere, Outta the Mouths of Babes, Dark Tourists).

Returning to Auckland for a flash-in-pan season at Lopdell Theatre, Sally’s own backyard – the shows run from 8th-10 December!

“I’m proud to say that we’ve worked hard since its premiere at Basement Theatre last year and there are lots of great changes - it’s better, stronger, slicker. Worth coming a second time or seeing it for the first if you missed it last time. You won't be disappointed!” – Sally Stockwell.
