As the vivid red and orange shades of Autumn gradually say their goodbyes, we find ourselves welcoming the coldest, darkest yet coziest season of the year; Winter.
Unlike the heat, activity and extroversion of summer, winter is the season to recover, rejuvenate and go within. Our energy naturally slows down giving us space for restoration and introspection, just as many plants and animals use the season for hibernation.
Seasonal living for us humans helps maintain vibrancy and health around the year, in particular through the cold and dark months that might have a tendency to bring up further tension, stress or even a Winter blues. Yoga, rest and intentional seed planting are wonderful tools to create internal warmth and wellbeing, making winter the perfect time to appreciate the slower pace, safely knowing that spring is around the corner. Tuning into the seasons and aligning ourselves intentionally is one of the most intuitive and natural practices we can adopt. So let this Winter retreat be your time to nourish your body and mind, grant yourself space to consider stepping off worn paths, and discover new impulses that nourish, soothe and uplift.
"Winter wellness wonderful" is a full day retreat that invites us to snuggle up into the comfort of our own selves and the safe space that we create together.
Hosted at the beautiful Lotus Yoga Centre in Paraparaumu, Kapiti Coast, North of Wellington.


We gather for a pampering day full of
Winter
- warming feel good moves and moments
- intentionally redirected energy through the season of Winter

- connecting tools and energy to heartfully link to ourselves and each other
- allowing time and a safe space to rest, recover and redirect

- nourishing practices that warm, support and uplift us
- seasonal scents and sounds to lift our spirit

Through
- all level yin & yang yoga sequences specifically designed for the season of Winter (nourishing particularly our kidney and bladder meridian lines)
- heartfilling coaching tools that help us go within individually as well as lifting us collectively as a group
- time to rest, reflect, redirect and recharge
- plenty of mindful and meditative moments
- intentional seed planting in the calmest, most restorative season of the year
- creating a future manifesto to take home dedicated to new ideas and spring to come
- like-minded people to share the beautiful space of "Lotus yoga" with
Warming tea and snacks will be provided,
please bring your own vegetarian lunch for us to break midday.


Gift yourself this nourishing time of movement and cosiness in the beautiful surrounding of 'Lotus Yoga'. The venue is modern, fully insulated, warm and offers amazing views into the lush bush around and over the beautiful Kapiti coast. The venue can easily be reached by car (plenty of parking on the grounds) and by train.

If you have, please bring your yoga mat, journal, eye pillow, snuggly clothes to keep you comfy and warm, a blanket and small pillow and anything else that might make your day extra special.
