Electropop's dynamic duo Twenty One Pilots are flying back to our NZ stage, celebrating their latest studio album 'Trench' at Auckland's Spark Arena this December.
Before performing for their Kiwi fans, Twenty One Pilots will first wind up their Australian shows. They’ll be playing at Perth's RAC Arena, Adelaide's Entertainment Centre, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena and Brisbane's Entertainment Centre.
Since their debut in 2009, the spellbinding tandem of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun has become one of music's trailblazers of this era. They have recently shared their latest tracks, 'Jumpsuit' and 'Nico And The Niners', that will both appear on their highly-anticipated studio album. 'Trench'—which follows the Grammy Award-winning duo’s Platinum (New Zealand) 2015 LP 'Blurryface' that has sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide—will be released on October 5th with further updates to be revealed soon.
Over the recent years, Twenty One Pilots have received a number of major awards and nominations, with 'Stressed Out' earning them the 2017 Grammy Award for 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' alongside four additional nods. Other awards include seven total Billboard Music Awards including 2016's 'Top Rock Artist' and 'Top Rock Album' (for 'Blurryface') and 2017's 'Chart Achievement Award', 'Top Duo/Group', 'Top Radio Songs Artist', 'Top Rock Artist' and 'Top Rock Song' (for 'Heathens'). Amazingly, they've also garnered multiple Alternative Press Music Awards including 'Album of the Year Presented By Journeys' (for 'Blurryface'), 'Artist of the Year Presented By Monster Energy' and 'Most Dedicated Fans', 2016 American Music Awards for 'Favorite Alternative Artist' and 'Favorite Pop/Rock/Band/Duo/Group', six iHeart Radio Music Awards (including 'Alternative Rock Song of the Year' in both 2016 and 2017), 2016's Kerrang! Award for 'Best Fanbase' and two MTV Europe Music Awards.
During their spanning career, Twenty One Pilots spawned a series of hit singles including 'Tear In My Heart', 'Ride', 'Heavydirtysoul' and their world-conquering hit single 'Heathens' which was featured on Atlantic Records' blockbuster Suicide Squad: The Album.
