Dylan Moran returns to New Zealand with his 'Dr Cosmos' tour in October

Award-winning comedian, actor and writer Dylan Moran is set to return to New Zealand, playing Wellington's Michael Fowler Centre, Christchurch Town Hall, Dunedin Town Hall, Auckland's ASB Theatre, Aotea Centre and Hamilton's Claudelands Arena this October for his latest 'Dr Cosmos' tour.

After wrapping up his NZ visit, Dylan Moran will be heading to Australia where he will continue the slew of comical performances through to December. His October dates will include shows at Wollongong Town Hall, Canberra's Royal Theatre and Sydney Opera House. November dates will then include gigs at The Arts Centre Melbourne, Launceston's Princess Theatre and Wrest Point Entertainment Centre in Hobart, Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide, Riverside Theatre in Perth, Darwin Entertainment Centre, Cairns Convention Centre, The Star Gold Coast and Civic Theatre Newcastle. He will be concluding his AU tour with a final performance at QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane this December.

Dylan Moran is now gearing up to bring his unique take on love, politics, misery and the everyday absurdities of life to his much-awaiting Kiwi fans. Dubbed as the Oscar Wilde of comedy, his famed style—deadpan, witty and crackpot lyricism—promises to be an unmissable journey through his interpretations of the world, swerving cliché to offer a cutting blow to our idiosyncrasies.

"Trumping Shakespeare, he reduces life to four ages: "child, failure, old and dead". Faced with one-liners as killing as that the world suddenly seems a better place." - The Telegraph

"In his heightened ideas and vocabulary, Moran compulsively swerves clichés as he builds up layers of laughs… funny and fascinating, and utterly deserving of his place in the modern classics." - The Times

Since his debut, Moran has cemented his place as one of the finest comedians of his generation—becoming the youngest winner of the Perrier Award. He went on to co-write and star in the hit comedy series 'Black Books' which won two BAFTA TV Awards. Having toured the world many times, versions of his show has reached as far afield as Kazakhstan, Ukraine and across the US. Apart from being a comic genius, Moran's wits and undeniable charm saw him earn some of the most notable screen roles in blockbuster films like 'Notting Hill', 'Calvary', 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Run Fatboy Run'.
