Don McGlashan - Free Flight NZ Tour

One of Aotearoa's most beloved songwriters Don McGlashan is now geared up to play his much-awaited 17-date tour this September and October! He'll be performing a series of intimate shows happening in Whangarei, Auckland, Cambridge, Mt Maunganui, Gisborne, Napier, Oamaru, Invercargill, Avondale and Paekakariki. Don will resume halfway through his NZ trip, hitting Palmerston North, Wellington, Golden Bay, Rangiora, Banks Peninsula and Greymouth before wrapping up in Queenstown.

Update: Don McGlashan has sold out some of his shows and to meet the public's demands he's announcing extra dates in Wellington and Blenheim including a free show in Kaikoura, making it a 20-date tour in New Zealand.

Don explains, "There was a gap in the South Island tour, so I thought the good people of Kaikoura might like a free gig. They’ve had a hard time lately, and I want to show them some support. Tom Dalton, my manager, made some calls, and it all looks like it’s going to happen. It’ll be a blast. I haven’t played Kaikoura since the Blams I think."

In addition, Blenheim's brand new venue, The Plant, welcomes Don mid October.

Performing recent songs, along with plenty of gems from his sprawling back catalogue, Don will play a string of solo shows, joined on a handful of dates by legendary drummer/percussionist Chris O’Connor (Phoenix Foundation) to give you an up-close and unique concert experience. For an added treat, Anthonie Tonnon will open the curtains for the Auckland, Wellington, Rangiora and Akaroa shows.
