Clifton County Cricket Club

In its 80′s heyday, the Clifton County Cricket Club was a Mecca for the cricket-mad folk of Hawke’s Bay. The moustaches were worn long and the tales were told tall.

After a hiatus, the phoenix has risen again and you’re invited to be part of the action.

A piece of lush Hawke’s Bay turf surrounded by undulating hillside and with views out to the glistening South Pacific, this is the stuff cricket lovers can only dream of.

While there is plenty of leather on willow action, the aim of the game is to have fun – both on the field and off. Even if you’ve retired from the great game, you’re still welcome. Unlike the golden days, there’s no ‘ladies a plate’ onus, the CCCC is a sort of social club the whole family can truly enjoy together – you don’t have to be a cricket tragic to embrace what is on offer here. We’re even establishing a sweet little croquet lawn for those who prefer a Pimm’s with their ball game of choice.
