History, serenity and privacy... from the moment you arrive, Wallaceville House will delight.
The surrounding bush provides a natural amphitheatre, and the chattering of birds - the only interruption. Whether you come to celebrate a wedding, work at a conference, or rest in the motorlodge...
You'll find the atmosphere at Wallaceville House soothing. Wallaceville House is on Wallaceville Road, 5 minutes from Upper Hutt City and only half an hour from Wellington. The choicest pick of Wellington wedding venues.
Wallaceville House was built early last century by celebrated architect, Mr Charlesworth. He sold the homestead in 1929 to Mr James Smith. During WWII, Mr Dick Jepsen, the founder of 'Atlas Shovels', purchased the property and made substantial alterations, such as the majestic staircase and elegant upstairs ballroom. In 1993 the property was further developed with the addition of a sixteen room motorlodge.
We are a "one-stop" venue with accommodation on-site and beautiful spacious grounds. While we are not so far from the CBD, our guests say they feel they have really "gotten away" from it all.
We have a resident chef and and we are fully licensed.
