Whangarei Croquet Club

Whangarei Croquet Club was born on the 31st July 1908 at 7.30p.m. Has recently turned 105 and still going strong. Despite the age the 'body' is fit and well with no signs of slowing down!
Set in park like grounds at the end of 3rd Avenue it is a delightful place to enjoy relaxing sport.

The 21st Century brought new challenges with electronics providing different directions for the youth of today.
However the sport is played by people of all ages. National representatives are in the 18 - 40 age range and compete on the world scene.

Nationally there are school championships where High School and College teams compete.

Our facilities are available for groups to enjoy.
Morning or afternoon tea sessions on non-club days combined with Golf Croquet are an excellent social gathering idea for 'something different' to do.
Team building exercises can also be arranged.

Visitors are always welcome to our Club days which are Thursdays and Saturdays from 9.30 onwards. Sundays we have informal Golf Croquet.
