Multi-disciplinary artist Dr Alys Longley will explore how artists imagine and create new worlds together when our borders are closed.
Alys is an Associate Professor of Dance and has 20 years experience in creating live performance, artist books, installations, international collaborations and artistic research projects.
Her latest project with New York-based Chilean artist Máximo Corvalán-Pincheira, Let Us Drink the New Wine, Together!, will simultaneously show at the Museum of Contemporary Art Santiago, as a live performance in Auckland, and in a digital space that is part space for people to meet and spend time together, part online game, part gallery space and part dance show.
This event is part of Raising the Bar, presented by the University of Auckland. Leading academics share their latest research in Auckland bars. 20 talks take place in 10 Auckland central bars on one night.
This event is free but attendees must register in advance.
