12 Bar Presents: Burdock

Burdock is a multi-instrumentalist who uses live looping to create layered, textural sound. "My loop pedal allows me to bring all my favourite toys to the stage at once; Electric Guitar, Bass, Cajon, Mandolin and Voice. By weaving them all together I create music with groove, harmony and melody that is crafted to move both body and soul."

His styles are eclectic, as are his influences. Dabbling in psychedelic rock, funk, folk, reggae and electronica. With a set featuring original songs (some made up on the spot) and covers from artists such as Sublime, David Bowie, Gorillaz and Jimi Hendrix.

Beyond genre, his approach to music is highly improvisational, with the goal always being to reach a state of inspired, joyful creativity in which energy and ideas can flow and grow.
