Come along to a community workshop day to learn about the ways of our Tāmaki Makaurau tupuna (ancestors) - how they moved, spoke, and thought.
Te Reo Māori me ona tikanga are all part of the workshop starting with and ending with karakia. Participants will learn a customary Māori practices and history associated with it.
You'll experience whakawaatea with tuatara, karanga, mihimihi and waiata. You'll also get to make your own taonga puoro from clay (Māori musical instrument) known as a Pūtangitangi.
